Bias can arise in several ways, including:
- Moderators using their position to give preferential treatment to posts they like, independent of the objective merits (e.g. by selective deletions, edits, or placement).
- Users or moderators targeting specific users for special treatment for reasons unrelated to site content (for example, because of a grudge from a past conflict).
